Tivoli - Copenhagen

Tivoli Gardens is the second oldest amusement park in the world! It opened in the mid-1800's... the oldest park is even in Copenhagen as well.

Jaime and many of her friends have season passes to Tivoli - it's the type of place that you can go to and enjoy a walk, shopping, food, and fireworks at night!

It was a lot of fun to visit Tivoli while the Christmas Market is going on. ...Talk about festive!!! I felt like I was in a piece of Disney World.

What a wooonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I absolutely adore Copenhagen and everything Scandinavian design.

Milan's Duomo - the views

What a gorgeous day in Milan to go atop the Duomo!

We took the elevator most of the way up - but then have more to walk... and stairs to the very top center.

After our trip to the top... we walked through the Christmas market along the side and back of the Duomo.

We picked up some yummy treats... I love, love, love the variety of almond paste cookies!

Fira de Santa Llucia - Christmas Market, Barcelona

The Fira de Santa Llucia Christmas market opened the Saturday I was in Barcelona! Great timing. It was fun to walk through and see the Christmas market. Carrie and I walked through another Christmas market near the Sagrada Familia Cathedral.

The Christmas witches (next two photos) confused me....??

Tio de Nadal... these are logs made up like little Santas... translated as Christmas log. Also called Caga Tio, translated as shitting log, because it 'poops' presents. Haha. 

There were also many figurines of a character with its pants down, bent over as if pooping... you can read more about that here - Caganer. I was really confused by all of these figurines while walking around.   : P
