POSITANO and some of my FAVORITES

The lovely town of Positano was great for both exercise and photography!

I got a workout from the stairs and hills... and also some lovely photos -- my favorite, random photos from around Positano are below:

Mom found a nice little walk for us to take... thanks to her great friend - Rick Steves!

The walk included more steps (of course!) but also more wonderful views:

Looking back at Positano:

I really love this mural:

Mom... conquering the steps with her new, gorgeous sweater!

Positano's church

The church in Positano really stands out among the landscape... set among the many colorful buildings of the main part of town... the church has a gorgeous (and colorfully patterned!) dome top and the building itself is yellow. I really love it!

We made it to the sandy beachfront! It was pretty cool to have been looking down on all of Positano just half an hour earlier... and now be at the bottom looking up!

I like this town  : )

walking around POSITANO - Amalfi Coast

...and by "walking around Positano" ...I mean down.

We departed the local bus at the top of a mountain/cliff/giant hill ...overlooking Positano. After taking in the views, we began the decent to the bottom. Our goal was a stretch of sandy beach that we could see way, way down.

Aaaaand GO!

It kept looking like we didn't have too much further to go. (HA!)

Sean's truckin'

OK... we have made it now. We are IN town at this point... and I took a rest on a bench (my legs felt like jelly after the many, many steps down!)

Shopping, shopping, shopping  : )

views of POSITANO, along the Amalfi Coast

Positano is a small seaside town set among (and built into) steep hills and cliffs along the Amalfi Coast.

I expected the town of Amalfi to be the most interesting with the most going on... but, actually, I really enjoyed Positano!

Below are some views of... the VIEWS!

There are HOMES up there!!

At this point (photo below...) we are about to start heading down (...down ...down) to the beach area that you can see below!
