Civita's views

Once the sky cleared up from the fog, the views from Civita were gorgeous:

The long bridge we walked across to get up to Civita:

Civita's CATS

There were many cats roaming around Civita di Bagnoregio. All seemed happy, well-fed, and well taken care of.   : )

Below are my favorites that we saw:

walking around CIVITA di BAGNOREGIO

Civita di Bagnoregio is a tiny town, set among cliffs, with an amazing view. We had a great time walking around... and a lovely lunch of salamis, cheeses, and fresh bread : ) I love it here!

There main square... the place to be to hear about the goings-ons...

And a favorite of mine from the day:

more FOG... Civita di Bagnoregio

The foggy mornings continued as we made our way up to Civita di Bagnoregio...

The higher up we got... and the closer to Civita... the clearer the sky became. Whoohoo!

And once we were up and IN Civita, the fog cleared up... it was a gorgeous day  : )

CIVITA di BAGNOREGIO, ITALY

Our 1/2-day trip to Civita di Bagnoregio was awesome. The tiny town sits on top of a plateau and is completely surrounded by cliffs. The only way to reach Civita is by a long, steep bridge. The population of Civita? ...5 people. ...though there are a number of hotels and restaurants to cater to the tourists. Since the winter is the off season, we saw just two other small groups of people the day we visited.

When we were walking TO Civita, it was quite foggy:

...We could not even see our final destination... more foggy pictures to come in a future post... but below are pictures from our way back down, after our visit... and the sky cleared up and became a beautiful blue-sky day for us   : )
