monkeys on the way up! Swayambhunath, Kathmandu

Swayambhunath is also known as 'Monkey Temple'... and it sure is!!

I was warned to not have food with me or even in my purse when I went to the stupa.

There are monkeys all over... and sometimes not so nice. I, thankfully, had no problems and enjoyed watching the monkeys eat, play, sit, and scurry about.
